The Weaver of Woe

Measuring 27,5 cm x 12,5 cm (or 26 cm with open wings), this articulated paper bird is inspired by Ernest Ingersoll’s book ‘Birds in Fable, Myth and Folklore’. The specific inspirational fragment of the book can be seen on the gallery.

Handcrafted with 300 gsm watercolor paper, braided horse hair and tacks, this creature allows gentle movement and repositioning. While she’s designed to be flexible, I recommend keeping her framed most of the time to preserve her delicate nature.

*The frame is not for sale; it is for display purposes only.
