The Hermit and the Witch

This piece is titled The Hermit and the Witch. The original is crafted on 300 gsm watercolor paper mounted on rigid board, with cutout windows that open and close using soft cotton cords. The little window reveals or conceals the main character that inhabit this forest cabin, inviting you to uncover details and stories with each peek inside. A cotton cord on the back makes it ready to hang, so no framing is needed.

The poem is an old nursery rhyme, which reads:

‘There was an old woman,

Who lived under a hill,

And if she’s not gone,

She lives there still.’

Approximate dimensions: 21 cm x 28 cm.
