The Forest Hearth
This piece is titled The Forest Hearth. The original is crafted on 300 gsm watercolor paper mounted on rigid board, with cutout windows that open and close using soft cotton cords. The little window reveals or conceals a mysterious hearth, inviting you to uncover the details and story with each peek inside. A cotton cord on the back makes it ready to hang, so no framing is needed.
The poem reads:
‘White owls gaze where the hearth glows bright,
Their wings like ghosts in the forest night.
The flames leap high, yet no one knows,
For whom this endless warmth still grows.’
Approximate dimensions: 21 cm x 28 cm.
