Tidal Tears

Housed in a painted handmade cardboard box, this sea diorama features intricate original watercolor and gouache drawing papercuts. Golden and silver ink have also taken part on the sparkles that shine in the whole interior of the piece.

Inside, a little alchemical bottle contains one of the many mermaids who wanted to seek shelter in the dephts of the sea forests, far away from the human eye. They hoped to find peace in solitude, but their tears were so many and so beautiful that they gave rise to an unknown non-lunar tide… The sea people called it ‘Tidal Tears’.

The dimensions of the diorama are 20,5 cm wide, 22 cm high, and 12 deep.
