Housed in a painted wooden box, this handmade forest diorama features intricate original watercolor drawing papercuts. Inside, a hanging articulated paper Owl Creature opens her wings when you pull from the cotton thread, revealing what is inside of her… Dreams, Obsessions, and Other Pellets.

The inspiration for this piece is a deep fascination for this creatures, not just because of their mysterious aura, but because they keep things inside. It takes them some time to regurgitate their prey, and in the meantime, they have a small reliquary full of bones, hair from some Holy mice, and other things. This cabinet of wonders nestled deep within, patiently awaits to be revealed.

Please notice that this is not a toy, but a delicate work of art. When you carefully pull the thread, the wings remain open, and must be manually closed if you want them to stay closed. Frequent opening and closing is not recommended. It has small hangers on the back for easy wall mounting.

The dimensions of the diorama are 15 cm wide, 22 cm high, and 7,5 deep.
